2026 is already underway.
And if you’re anything like the people I work with, you may have started the year with goals… only to realize that what you really want isn’t just more progress — it’s a better way of moving through your business.
That’s been true for me as well.
Instead of focusing only on what I want to accomplish in 2026, I’ve been paying closer attention to how I want to grow. Not rushed. Not chaotic. But steady, supported, and intentional.
Growth is often framed as doing more:
more events
more communication
more visibility
more output
But without the right systems in place, growth quickly turns into overwhelm.
Intentional growth is different.
It’s growth that’s supported by structure.
It’s growth that doesn’t rely on memory, urgency, or constant effort.
It’s growth that allows your business to expand without draining your energy.
That’s why intentional growth starts with clarity — not hustle.
Many people choose a “word of the year” in January. But the truth is, it’s never too late to choose how you want to move forward.
For 2026, I chose two words that guide my decisions:
STEADY — how I move
INTENTIONAL — why I choose
These words don’t create pressure.
They create alignment.
Steady growth isn’t slow — it’s sustainable.
It looks like:
consistency instead of bursts of effort
follow-through that doesn’t depend on remembering
systems that support you even when life gets busy
Steady growth allows you to build momentum without burning out. It replaces urgency with rhythm and structure.
Intentional growth means making conscious choices about:
where your time goes
what you say yes to
what deserves a system
what no longer needs your energy
When your business is intentional, growth stops feeling reactive. Decisions feel clearer. Your business starts working with you instead of against you.
One of the biggest mistakes people make when setting goals is focusing on outcomes without building the structure to support them.
Goals don’t grow on motivation alone.
They grow when systems are in place.
Business systems help:
reduce mental load
create consistency
prevent things from falling through the cracks
support growth without chaos
When systems are missing, everything depends on memory and effort. When systems are in place, growth becomes predictable, manageable, and far more sustainable.
Even though 2026 is already in motion, there’s still time to pause and reset your approach.
Here are two questions worth reflecting on:
How do you want to move through the rest of 2026?
Why does growth matter to you this year?
Your answers don’t need to be perfect.
They just need to be honest.
Sometimes one word — or a pair of words — can act as a filter for every decision you make moving forward.
Growth doesn’t have to feel overwhelming.
It doesn’t have to feel frantic.
And it definitely doesn’t have to come at the cost of peace.
When growth is steady and intentional — supported by systems — it becomes something you can actually enjoy building.
The year is already underway.
But you still get to choose how you move through it.
What do you want 2026 to feel like from here forward?
